About SalaPod
I built SalaPod because I watched my partner spend Sunday afternoons rebuilding invoices.
She teaches yoga and pilates across multiple studios in Brisbane. Every fortnight she'd open her Canva invoice template, scroll back through Google Calendar to find every class she'd taught, scroll back through WhatsApp to confirm what actually happened, then export a PDF and email it. By the time the next billing cycle came around, the same hour of admin started again.
The studios she teaches at had their own version of the same problem. Schedules in Google Calendar, sub requests by group chat, cancellations relayed through individual texts. Everyone making it work, but everyone losing time to the seams between tools.
I went looking for a tool that fit how this work actually flows. There were plenty of options for restaurants, gyms with one location, professional services where everyone clocks in to the same workplace. But nothing built for the way wellness actually works: many practitioners across many venues, freelance work overlapping with private clients, fortnightly invoicing across all of it, and a real human relationship with every studio.
SalaPod is the tool I wished existed. It handles the scheduling for studios, the invoicing for practitioners, and most importantly the seam between them — when a studio adds a practitioner to a class, that class lands on the practitioner's calendar; when the practitioner teaches it, it lands on the next invoice; when the venue is ready to pay, the invoice is already there with a Pay Online button. The bookkeeping happens in the background while you do the work.
It's built for the marketplace pattern wellness work actually has, not the single-employer pattern that every other rostering tool assumes. Studios get their roster, their substitutions, their cancellation flows in one place. Practitioners get their schedule across every venue, their private clients alongside it, and one-click invoicing for everyone. Both sides get a single source of truth.
We're working with our first cohort of studios and practitioners now. If SalaPod sounds like it could fit how you work, request early access or just email me directly at hello@salapod.com. I read every message and reply personally.
